Conservation Heaven along South Fork Little Butte Creek

The owners of this unique 80 acre property purchased it in 1992 and have spent the past 25 years improving and preserving it. Years ago they turned to the Southern Oregon Land Conservancy to place a conservation easement on the property in order to preserve it for generations to come. What a gift they have given to region, ensuring that the 1/4 mile section of South Fork Little Butte Creek will be maintained and conserved as a riparian area. This is especially important since this section of the creek is prime habitat for coho salmon. They also conserved an additional 40 acre lot, restricting all building and development.

On top of that, the owners meticulously renovated a 1920 craftsman bungalow that has served generations of previous owners. They also improved the vintage barn on the property by installing a new metal roof and bringing electricity (110 and 220) to the structure so it can used as a shop. Additionally, they have cultivated 10 acres of fenced pasture land, which is irrigated with a full automated pop-up sprinkler system.

We’re proud to represent these seller’s who are clearly looking beyond themselves and working to preserve what makes Southern Oregon so incredible.
