Calling Jessica a global citizen isn’t hyperbole. She was born in Texas, lived in the Netherlands, New York City, Santa Barbara and Sonoma County, CA all before she turned eighteen. In fact, she still identifies strongly with her Tex-mex roots, speaking Spanish and embracing her bi-cultural upbringing. The flexibility of thinking that she developed growing up can be seen in her work experiences as well. She was a surgical assistant for many years, a fitness trainer and ultimately opened the Ganas Community Space in Garberville, CA. As an entrepreneur, Jessica saw the community space as a place for other independent contractors to offer their services, while creating connections to the broader community. It was this experience that brought her cultural diversity and desire to serve into focus. While that venture came to an end when she and her family decided to leave the 120 acres that they homesteaded in Northern California, it was the beginning of her real estate career. Finding Ashland to be the perfect fit for the needs of her family, Jessica saw an opportunity to put her interpersonal and problem solving skills to work in serving her clients and building connections. Outside of real estate, Jessica can be found enjoying time at one of the many local eateries, Theaters, or playing in the parks with her awesome family.
