Martin Huggins

Huggins, Martin Huggins. Well, we’re obviously exaggerating that Martin is akin to James Bond but there’s no denying he shares a similar ethos that “the proper function of a person is to live, not to exist.” Martin has certainly lived and has a can-do attitude that drives his success and curiosity. Growing up in Kansas City (go Chiefs and Royals!), Martin was a student at Kansas State when opportunity knocked in the form of a full time marketing position. He jumped at the chance and quickly found success. New challenges awaited him, however, and he became an Airborne Ranger, discovering his love of Arabic language and finding his way to the Language Institute at Monterey Bay. Becoming fluent, he loved being able to connect with people across different cultures and still uses his language skills whenever he can. Not one to let the grass grow beneath his feet, Martin founded and ran a successful merchandising and printing business, again showing his ability to work hard, be creative and adapt to new opportunities. After selling his business, he set out for the Pacific Northwest in his converted van, looking for a new adventure. A chance stop in Ashland opened his eyes to living in Oregon. It had it all- outdoors, wonderful restaurants, great schools and the small town feel he’d been craving. Martin soon discovered his love of real estate and hasn’t looked back. He loves finding creative solutions for his clients, developing connections and friendships along the way. Knowing the impact of buying a home, Martin especially enjoys helping clients find long term financial success and even building real estate portfolios. Of course, Martin practices what he preaches; renovating his own home one room at a time while raising his son, traveling and taking advantage of all the outdoors has to offer. Even though he may not be wearing a tux or driving an Aston Martin, it’s clear he’s definitely living!
