Virtual Trail Races Support Rogue Food Unites

Our community is blessed with many great trails and even more great people. One of our friends, Joseph Chick, is the race director of a few races in town. Two races, the Bandersnatch 5K and the Lewis Loops 10M, are being run virtually this November due to COVID-19. Most years these fun races donate all proceeds to Ashland Woodlands Trails Association (one of Full Circle’s 1% for the Planet partners). This year Joseph and AWTA want to support Rogue Food Unites, a local group that is doing incredible work feeding those impacteded by the Almeda fire that struck our community in September. Rogue Food Unites meets the immediate and long-term food needs of fire victims with comfort food prepared by locally-owned restaurants. They are doing fantastic work and we are grateful that Joseph has decided to support them with his races.

Check out both races at www.ashlanduphillraces.com and run the double up if you’re up for it. The Bandersnatch 5K is family friendly and starts and ends in Ashland’s Lithia Park. The challenging Lewis Loop 10 Miler also starts and ends in the park and takes you on the fantastic trail network that Ashland Woodlands Trails has worked so hard to build.

Even if you aren’t up for the runs, we encourage you to support the important and good work of Rogue Food Unites. Even though the fires are out, there is tremendous need and our community can still use your support.
